Aya is attending college and living on her own. She spends a lot of time with her boyfriend Ken, and calls the Mouri family her family now. She and Ran visit at least once a week. She is studying to become a journalist.

Past:
Aya lived happily with her parents and brother Ran until she was 16 years old. On the night of her 16th birthday, she was struck by a car and thrown into a coma that lasted several years. Only when Ran claimed the power of the Soulfire and re-ignited the Belmont bloodline was she able to wake up.

At that time, Aya went to live with Beth Mouri, Cye's mother, and quickly re-united with Ran. It was hard getting adjusted to a world that had changed so much, but after a year or so she decided to attend University. She also started dating her brother's friend Ken Hidaka, and the two of them are well on their way to a happy life together.
